|Tryin' ta figure our whose baby I killed in a former life...
I finally started to get a grip on my workload and make some headway and the fuckers switch it all up again.
An I get to shoulder the heaviest part of the workload. Glee.
On the one hand, It is kind of a compliment that I am trusted with the majority of the detail oriented stuff and problem-solving shit.
On the the other hand, that my "partner" screwed some stuff up enough to prompt the jostling of responsibilities annoys me. How does incompetance earn you and easier job?
Actually i May actually enjoy my job more no that I don't have to deal with the Mundane annoying bullshit updating portion of my job. And i don't have to draft docs any more. but the sheer stress level isn't going to even out.
Ah well, I got some evil Apocalyptic shit to plan for this weekend!!
All hail mighty Set!!! Current Mood: Mrrrh

|I feel like a clubbed seal...
Work was particularly rough...
They beat me soundly with sticks...not so much as to mar the pelt... but enough to get he job done. On the plus side tomorrow is Friday and holiday glee will abound.
Sadly, I do not feel up to baking tonight. My assistant dared to suggest I "cheat" and use the premade cookie dough. She has been drubbed mercilessly.
I will save the Bake-fu for Saturday. There be all kinds of confectornary goodness up in here then...
Finished christmas shopping (Much rejoicing) and I didn't have to knee-cap any old ladies (damned vicious creatures this time of year I tell you).
Looking forward to seeing peeps over the holidays...though it looks like my work schedule will prevent a trip to Chi-town. I needs me a new less crunchy job...
But back to frolic...Damnit...spirit must be renewed!!!!!!
(Even if I gotta put cap in sum-un's azz)
SO Be Nice this season...Santa's hired dis monkey to work over any a yuz Naughty types... Current Mood: tarred

|Social Anxiety is a bitch....
Once again my nigh paralytic social anxiety rears it fearsome head.
Last night: Office Christmas party...the entire night was like reliving my freshman year at college...gah
I am in serious wanting of death right now...
and I have another Christmas party and a Larp left his weekend...This is me in abject terror...
It's a good thing I HAVE to get some Christmas shopping done today, or I would be curling back up in bed forever.
Damn Central Indiana for being so damn flat.. no cliffs good for jumping

|Music video time!!
So, i was getting ready for work this morning (Yes, I'm going to work on a Saturday morning on Thanksgiving vacation, even though I don't strictly have to), and "Who are you?" by the Who pops in my head. I'm humming along and my brain kicks into music video mode, except the video is taking place in the Hundred Acre Wood, with Tigger, and Eyore, and Piglet and Folk all running around in a drug induced haze. Needless to say I started singing out loud, but changed the words a bit...
"Pooh are you? Ooh, ooh..."
Days like this I'm reminded that my reality is much better than most...

| You are a Samurai.
You are full of honour and value respect. You
are not really the stereotypical hero, but you
do fight for good. Just in your own way. For
you, it is most certainly okay to kill an evil
person, if it is for justice and peace. You
also don't belive in mourning all the time and
think that once you've hit a bad stage in life
you just have to get up again. It's pointless
to concentrate on emotional pain and better to
just get on with everything. You also are a
down to earth type of person and think before
you act. Impulsive people may annoy you
"Always do the right thing.
This will gratify some people and astonish the
rest" -Mark TwainFacial expression:

I am baking chocolate chip cookies for Cihuacoatl's Samhain/houswarming bash tomorrow...so Y'all better come and get some. Then again I'm not entirely sure how many people coming to the party read this thing.
Though they may be kinda scarce, as I'm goona have to set up a spring trap to keep mom away from the cookies. She's worse than most kids I know... Then again this is the woman whoom I caught peeking at her Chrismas presents by realizing that her present was re-wrapped far better than my 11 year old self could have possibly done it...
|Why oh why is it ALWAYS the young ones...
So Yesterday near the end of the day one of my co-workers was picke dup by her husband and daughters from work. They came up to visit (Our boss is her aunt) and stuff. No biggie.
This morning Stacia takes one look at me and starts laughing. It seems her oldest daughter spent the ENTIRE evening talking about how cute the guy who sit behind Mommy is (YES..that's me). Seems to have developed a wee bit of a crush or something...
Yup, apparently I am TEH Irresistable to three-year-olds everywhere... Current Mood: Bakish

|Samurai Seven and Serenity
Twas watching Volume two of Samurai Seven last night. for the uninitiated S7 is an anime based off Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. All the chrachters are the same, but the setting is a futuristic sci-fi world. The Bandits are building tall mecha/Cyborg samurai. The S7 are normal samurai (well normal inteh Exalted Sense...). It is teh bomb.
Side note: For those who have not seen the Original Seven Samurai...run, do not walk to the video store and rent it...or I'll lend it to you or something.
Any how, I was thinking about the show this morning and about how happy I was since Heihachi (My fave character from the movies) was introduced on this disc. I ws trying to pin down what I liked so much about him, when I realized... well duh...he's like Wash. then I realized, reflecting on some stuff fromteh movie version...Holy shit... He IS Wash!!!
The Serenity/Seven Samurai door swingith open...And I started thinking about other characters. The similarities between Mal and Kanbei are scary. Likewise with Zoe and Shichiroji. From there it becomes more of a stretch...but it kept me in a good mood all morning nonetheless.
Also, new Mike Doughty album frickin' rocks!!!!! Current Mood: Samurific

I spent all of Sunday And I do mean ALL) helpingmy Dad install a new cieling fan in my parent's bathroom.
It looked simple enough...
But as with most things It took much more time and effort thatn should have been required. Also I think I squeezed myself up and down out of the damn attic about three dozen times. I think that is what brought on the soreness...and the head smacking into the frame of the house. That prolly didn't help.
Were you aware that it is not particularly easy to breathe througha mask designe to keep particles out of your lungs? Apparently this includes oxygen molecules...
When All was said an done it was worth it though. WE go to cram into the bathroom, stare stupidly at the ceiling and "ooh" and "aaah" as we flicked the switch and the fan came on. Nothing like the feeling of a job well done.
It feels like sore shoulders... Current Mood: Ouchy

|Dear sweet Lords of Hakkaddo...
Some one Kyeelll me....
Day one of Gen Con...Lots of Fun...but damn...
Lessee...spent way too much money in the first hour 1/2...but hey I'm about done shopping...
Had Lunch with the Tokezos, Norris-Wagoners, Kenshiro and oh yeah.. Tessier (as much as we wish to forget 'em ;))
This was followed by a round of Ownage of the Comic Trivia game at the Cityof Heroes booth.
Evening was nice dinner with most of above, followed by Rush to home to prepare for arrival of Teh Turbo and...Tooth_and_Claw?
The did good deed for the Con and went back to take the Tokezos back to their Hotel after the True Dungeon let out at 1:00AM. I return home at 2:00...Turbo and T+C are sleeping soundly. I resist urge to water bomb them from spite (and Teh Kyootness).
Day two. Up at 5:50 as me houseguests have to get badges early this morning (Badges...we don't need no stinkin' Badges!!!!!) I'm too sleepy to find waterbombs.... Current Mood: Urgaguy
